Greenhouse and nursery tour to include a walking tour of the behind the scenes world of the horticulture department. Learn how we start with seedlings, move to cuttings, and end with full grown perennials, trees and shrubs. Guests have the opportunity to ask their burning plant questions and learn from professional horticulturists how native plants support the local environment, including fauna and what alternatives to invasives and non-natives are available.

Come meet our resident Common Snapping Turtle ("Peach") in a behind the scenes experience you won't forget! Learn about this common but somewhat misunderstood species in an up-close encounter with Peach and one of our Herp Keepers or Educators. Animals may be presented with various food items in the program including but not limited to: fruits, vegetables, grains, pieces of whole prey (mice, fish), eggs, insects.
